This collection by Meredith Li-Vollmer is about the role comics have in public health. My comic “Rosa’s family” is featured. Published by Penn State University Press.

WHEN LANGUAGE RUNS DRY (2020)

This collection of essays, comics and art about chronic pain was first a zine series, and became published as a book by Mend My Dress Press. I illustrated the book cover. The collection features my comic “Handle With Grace”.

SKIN, TOOTH AND BONE: THE BASIS OF OUR MOVEMENT IS OUR PEOPLE (2016, 2019)

If you read one book on disability justice read this. It is published by Sins Invalid and developed by a broad collective of people (including me) from across the United States and Canada to frame fundamentals about disability justice. This is two-volume e-book encyclopedia set is published by ABL-CLIO and edited by Tamar Heller, Sarah Parker Harris, Carol Gill and Robert Gould. I wrote the entry on disability in comics.

I have a comic panel in this ground-breaking Eisner-nominated book on graphic medical narratives, published by Penn State Press.

GAY GENIUS (2011)  

Gay Genius is a comic anthology published by Sparkplug Press, in Portland, OR and features my comic “Tanis Doe”. It’s edited by Annie Murphy with queer comics on the theme of history.  Read this review in The Comics Journal.

THE COLLECTIVE TAROT (2008, 2010, 2011) 

The Collective Tarot is a tarot deck created by artists primarily from the Pacific Northwest. It has been printed in three editions, and is currently out of print.  I designed the Death card and four cards from the Keys suit.
